Maps are everywhere despite being distorted representations of landmasses and water bodies.
Unlike maps, globes are nearly perfect spherical models of the earth.
With increased globalisations, everyone, especially kids have to be good at geography. Globes have the advantage to be more entertaining than maps let alone texts.
My recommendation for schools is the 30cm Educational Swivel Globe.
For kids, I would suggest an illuminated globe used a bedside lamp and the Science Kidz 2 in 1 Illuminated World Globe is a good choice.
